This first-of-it’s-kind No Worries Stone features a unique presentation of nickel silver from @mikesmetalworking.

From Mike:
Those teeny tiny bubbles on top are from dissolved gas exiting the ingot as it was cooling from a liquid to a solid, in a good casting there’s very little dissolved gasses so instead of having pits or pores in the metal the top 1/2mm or so gets a bubbly look!

The wrinkly, molten texture was what I was initially after when starting this piece. I wanted to keep as much of that raw, beautiful texture as possible; then fade in some shiny, smooth bits. While working in the fade, wonderful lil bubbles began to appear and the immediate goal was to incorporate these bubbles as well.
Complimenting the nickel silver is stunning green & purple Black Ash Burl from @realeyezwoodz along with brass & purple G10, stainless steel & mosaic pins.
The term “Stone” is used loosely here.
These are obviously not stones at all, but colorful pieces of pocket art to fidget and ponder life’s greatest mysteries.
Some may refer to pieces like these as “worry stones” but worry won’t solve your problem or bring you joy, hence: The No Worries Stone.
Each BYRDWOODART piece is a one-off, custom design.
